In 2015, Margie passed the torch of company ownership to Dee Anna Hanchey and now assists her as a consultant, contract writer and "wine-down buddy." When she’s not at the keyboard, Margie serves as an adjunct graduate professor at Texas A&M-Commerce and an adjunct undergraduate professor at Dallas' Brookhaven College. She is a founding member and past chairman of the DSVC Foundation and a past president of the Dallas Society of Visual Communications.
